Tell me, what Braggin Rights Inc means?
I would say that Braggin Rights Inc. means exactly what it says “Braggin Rights” The right to know that you have beaten out everyone around you for that moment. No matter what you bring to the table you have earned the right to be Cocky or Confident.
Who is the creator?
I myself am the creator, I have had a lot of help and many ideas from friends and fans over the years, But I would say that it was I who has put 100% of the time effort and money in to getting things moving. I know that I couldn’t have done any of this without the support of my loving fiancé’. Erin has given me her support since I began working on Braggin Rights in 2009 and never one time shown any negative feeling towards the business. In fact without her I would have given up this dream years ago!
What was the vision when BR was created?
The vision has changed so much over the years. It started in 2007 with “Addictive clothing” and the priority then was to introduce a new line to the custom car and truck lifestyle. At the time I was excited and ready to just jump feet first into the world of art and clothing. What ended up happening was me jumping in head first and watching it fall apart right in front of me. What was funny to me was that I didn’t take any real time to evaluate the design work and what I had, which at the time was nothing special at all. After the first designed shirts were a flop, I started to take a closer look at what I had so I could reevaluate what I was doing.
I ended up taking two years off from it. I deployed to Iraq as a Military contractor and while overseas I started to pay more attention to the other companies that were supporting these car and truck guys. I took the basics of what others were doing and added to it and made it different. By August of 2009, we were still “Addictive clothing.” Our slogan, saying or motto if you will was “More than a hobby, it’s an addiction”. After doing some research I found another company going by the same name and decided that the conflict was more than I wanted to deal with and decided to change the name. I had already designed a shirt with the saying “Braggin Rights” and I thought to myself that this would be the perfect name to introduce to the lifestyle.
So I guess my true vision after the name change was to bring a type of clothing that would allow people to express what they felt when they were the best and even if they had never take a first place trophy at a car show, they could still show everyone how they felt or even wanted to feel, if that makes sense. Every truck and car guy feels they have or are building something to Brag about, so why not let them express is in the clothing they wear.
How many states have Braggin Rights Loyal followers?
Well according to Facebook we are being followed in 19 countries and over 80 cities. I’m not sure how many states but I’m sure we have most of the southern states as well as a few East and West Coast States. On our fan page we currently have about 2360 fans. Believe me when I say that I would like to see more than that as well as more feedback from our customers and fans. But at the moment I travel a lot for my day job and have really not had the time I would to put into the company along with the fan page. Since we have not had very much going on this year, we don’t have much to put out. This equals not much traffic on the fan page.
You offer apparel? Does this trigger towards men or women?
We offer all types of apparel and try and cater to both men and women with our designs and products. But you will notice that we have a few more men’s shirts than women. We also have youth shirts and stuff for the infants as well. We have future custom car and truckers being born everyday so why not start them off early? We also carry hats, beanies, jackets and hoodies. We do offer free stickers whenever we are at shows; we believe that giving away a sticker can be a great way to interact with our customers and a good way to advertise as well. Most of our current customers will add the sticker to the window of their truck, car, and sometimes even their tool boxes.
Who is the ideal person who would represent Braggin Rights?
When we first started out the ideal person we wanted to see representing Braggin Rights was the “MiniTrucker” and to your readers who have no idea what that is let, me explain.
MiniTrucker: A term used to describe any lowered, bagged, body dropped truck. Minitrucks are known for their paint jobs, rims, interiors, custom body work, systems, and last but not least, how low to the ground they ride. Minitrucks derived from the low rider car culture with an urban twist to it. Each year there are many minitruck shows all over the United States and throughout the world. But please, please DONOT confuse a MiniTruck for a Lowrider! This is one phrase we all take as disrespectful.
We are at the moment prepping BR for the 2013 show season and making a few changes. We would like to move into other areas of competition. Motocross, skateboarding, surfing, MMA and anything that involves Braggin Rights and the end of day, the confidence we all desire.
Are you currently attacking all the social media sites?(give me all sites)
At the moment we are on Facebook, Htownshowscene.com, dfwminis.com and streetsource.com. I know we have signed up on others sites but it’s hard to keep up. I honestly only have time for Facebook right now and even then I don’t have time. My job as a military contractor has me quite busy. Fortunately for me I will have the next year stable in one location, which will hopefully give me the time needed to put into Braggin Rights Inc what it deserves.
What legacy would you like to see Braggin Rights accomplish?
I look at all these other clothing lines and I see them going places and I can’t lie, at times I’m quite envious of their success and progress they have made in such a short amount of time. But then I think about the time and effort and money it took to get there and realize that if they can do, we can do it. I feel like we have the perfect name, one that everyone I have ever talked to says is amazing. Once we get the design process down and I can get the artist I need to bring my vision to the world, then I know we will take off.
The legacy should be more than making money; I have the vision of just knowing people want to wear our product. I can honestly say that right now money is not the reason for doing this and never has been. Yes, it would be nice to make a profit in the end, but I just love the way I feel when I go to a truck show and I’m known by the people attending the show. We have met some of the most amazing people over the past 3 years. And been able to be a part of a lifestyle that most people have no idea even exists.
