Fall 2012 is coming out with familiar hairstyles. Style always repeats itself and their is no deny this retro bouffant. What is s bouffant you ask? The definition says: a bouffant is a type of hairstyle characterized by hair piled high on the head and hanging down on the sides.
Originated in the late 50's then exploded into the Mod 60's.
Fall runways were full of all kinds of time machine looks.

Purple People Eatter

While doing my normal task of grocery shopping. I stood in line looking around for a mental distraction. Katy Perry stood with the most glamorous shade of purple. I spent many days debating whether I should coat my golden summer highlights.
After examining loads of different shares of purple from grape to amethyst. I plunged into a sweet violet! I love it...
Ladies, never hide from vibrant colors, it's okay to explore.
I found all kinds of different shades...which one inspires you?

Rasta Mon :)

When you think of Bob Marley you think of??
Marijuana? Rasta colors? Reggae? Jamaica?
This man did soooo much more!! Too know Mr. Robert Nesta (Bob) you must understand his struggle and his beliefs he stood strongly behind. I found these facts extremely interesting. Hope you find them the same 😁

. Bob’s father was a 50-year-old white British naval captain named Norval Sinclair Marley. Bob’s mom, a black country village girl named Cedella, was 19 when, in the small Jamaican village of Nine Mile in Saint Ann Parish, Bob was born at 2:30 in the morning on Feb. 6, 1945. Imagine how happy Cedella’s father was to discover his daughter had been sleeping with an old white man named Norval. Imagine how thrilled Norval’s family of racist colonialists was to learn the same thing.

Yes, Bob Marley was bi-racial !!

Where was Bob Marley born?
Bob was born on February 6th, 1945 in the small village of Nine Miles in Saint Ann, Jamaica.

As a little kid, Bob had a knack for deeply spooking people by successfully predicting their futures by reading their palms. At seven, having just returned to his rural village after a year spent living in the ghettos of Kingston (Jamaica’s capital), he declared that from then on he would cease to read palms. His new destiny, he said, was to become a singer. For the rest of his life, whenever someone who knew him back when asked him to read their palms, he resolutely refused

Due to his light skin-color, among other factors, Marley was drawn into many fights while living in the Kingston ghetto. Far from the peace-loving pacifist of the Bob Marley legend, the actual Bob Marley never backed down from a fight and was known as a scrapper. Later he would found a record label in Jamaica using the nickname given to him in his fighting days: Tuff Gong.

What was Bob Marley's full name?
Robert Nesta Marley. He was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, guitarist and Rastafarian prophet.

What is Bob Marley's eldest son Ziggy's real name?
David Nesta Marley. Ziggy sings the theme song to the children's cartoon "Arthur" on the American television network PBS. .

What happened to Bob Marley in December 1976, two days before "Smile Jamaica", a free concert organized by Jamaican Prime Minister Michael Manley in an attempt to ease tension between two warring political groups?

He was shot by unknown gunmen.. Bob Marley, his wife and his manager, Don Taylor were wounded in an assault by unknown gunmen inside Marley's home. Bob had only minor injuries to his chest and arm. The shooting was thought to have been politically motivated. Regardless, the concert went on and an injured Marley performed as scheduled.

When Bob discovered that the reason he was still poor after being so famous for so long was that his long-time manager and friend Don Taylor had been robbing him blind, Bob beat Don to within an inch of his life. Then he fired him

Where did Bob Marley collapse, due to complications of cancer?

Central Park. He had recently done two shows at Madison Square Garden as part of the "Uprising" Tour.

When is Bob Marley's death?

. He died on May 11, 1981.

What city did Bob Marley die in?

Miami. Marley wanted to spend his final days in Jamaica, but became too ill on the flight home from Germany. He was forced to leave the plane in Miami so that he could receive immediate medical attention..

What were Bob Marley's last words to his son Stephen?

Money can't buy life.. One month before he died.

What was Bob Marley buried with?

all of these (soccer ball, Gibson Les Paul, Bible). He was buried in a crypt at Nine Miles, near his birthplace. He was also buried with a bud of marijuana.

Interesting huh? Wise wise man!!

Red Delight

"The right red [lipstick] will light up your hair, eyes and skin immediately, the wrong one will not.”
Wise words I thought I would share.

Red is taking over everywhere.
Just not on the eyes ladies...red eyeshadow is a no-no!! Gives you a pink eye look, not very attractive.

I recently saw the Louboutin nail design on Pinterest. My many lost hours have been devoted looking for endless inspiration from the little colorful boxes. But, the Louboutin nails are a must share. Totally dig the idea!!
Did you know Louboutin originally started his idea to paint the bottom of his heels red after a fellow employees nail polish caught his attention. Christian gracefully coated the bottom of a sample heel and from that day forth Louboutin's would rock cherry red bottoms. By chance, have you seen his latest pair of heels were inspired by Disney's rerelease of Cinderella? Not only do these beautiful glass slippers scream "classy" but they are complete must haves! I, personally would not wear them but, rather display those beauties on a dazzling shelf. Awe..one day!!
Photos are below

Absolutely, adore the concept of painting the inner nail red!
Bellissimo!!!!

NO!! Don't throw it away...

Ladies, are you clumsy? Drop your favorite compact or press to hard on your favorite eyeshadow? I hate that, don't you?
Today, a dear friend of mine Tovah Angelino did this and I thought...WOW do women know not to throw it away? Pick up those precious pricy pieces!! Grab alcohol and place your broken pigments back into the compact, add drops of the alcohol. I personally find using a needle to stir the mixture is easiest. Keep adding alcohol and stirring until you have a creation that looks like paste.
Grab a razor blade or anything with a straight edge and scrape the top. Let the concoction dry over night, do not close the compact!! To dry it needs air;)
Enjoy!

Miss Mosh 💓💋

Since I first became interested in makeup and portfolio work I found a odd character who was just breaking into the scene. I use to explore Model Mayhem and the good ol' social network MySpace. The beauty's name was Mosh, she had amazing dreads and could twist and tie her body is the most amazing poses.
Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes, for as long as I can remember mine has come from this 5'3 beauty.
Miss Mosh as she addresses herself now is a alternative model. For those who do not understand this means she has dipped her toes in fetish, latex and burlesque. Last trip she made to Austin broke my heart to not attend. Maybe one day...
But, I thought I would open my book of ideas and share some of what insures me!!

To paint or to not paint that is the question?

Question of the day..

Do toenails and fingernail polish have to match?

Some people are very adamant about both shades being the same. Personally, I will have cheetah print fingernails and green zebra print toe nails. I have also placed a different shade to every nail, but I love standing out!
So, I'm curious to know ladies how do you feel about this? Men what do you think?? Does all one shade on both show fashion? Loads of designs is it sometimes too much?

Can't wait to hear your opinions :)

What exactly is Contouring?

Let’s start with a hot topic in the makeup society...Contouring!!! This look will give the illusion of more pronounced cheekbones and a more slender face. A tip I learned from my a fellow makeup artist, is to first find a bronzer and blush that go well with your complexion. As long as you have a lighter and darker shade, you will be fine. Just about any two colors will work.
Next, using a large fluffy blush brush, take the bronzer/darker color and shade your cheekbone nearest your hairline in a light circular motion. Then using the blush/lighter color, shade the apples of your cheeks in a light circular motion. Make sure to blend it back a little towards your hairline to mix the colors together. I like to smile big while doing this because is gives me a better idea of where the apples of my cheeks are. If you want to contour a little further, take some of the bronzer/darker color and brush it lightly under your cheeks, along your jaw line and towards your ears. Follow the picture I have provided.

Now let’s talk about highlighting. I love using a highlighter on my face because it gives you a certain fresh glow. A trick to remember when highlighting your features is, imagine someone is holding a flashlight above your head pointing it towards the ground. Now think of every place that light will illuminate, and that is where you put the shine. So, right below your eyebrows, on the top of your cheeks, the bridge of your nose, the top line of your upper lip, and the crease of your chin. When you put a little highlighter along the line above your upper lip, it will make them look larger and more pouty.
Remember blending is key and you want to avoid lines, you do not want to go out looking like the photo. Practice makes perfect!!! Have fun experimenting and contact me for any questions :)
